which is it, here are the pros and cons
slips in 16 by 7"
pro- very light 13.5lbs in flat black or white
con- some say played out, plain looking in black but LIGHT
subzero's in 17 by 7.5" i know they come in 16 but i don't think they would look right an inch smaller.
pro- better looking than slips, i will only get white or black/polished lip, and i can fit fat rubber easy (225)
cons- a little heavier 16.5lbs in 17" more expensive tires (not really a problem since its only a couple bucks)

i will order these from either machiii.com if they pricematch or jaydm.com since they are about $30 cheaper, anyone deal with either?

subzero w/ gunmetal/polished lip would look perfect on a white ep!
wheel size would really depend on your drop...

i got a set of c8's from machiii and would
have no problem recommending them...

im dropped on Sprints, its about 2" in the front and about 1.75" in the rear, i agree on the subs but i trying to balance performance with looks and still stay somewhat of a sleeper (no kits, just my bc wing, it draws enough attention as it is)

i just looked up tire prices on tirerack.com since they are about 20mins from me and 225/45/17 are $112 each so $448+tax compared to $332 for 225/55/16 , so it over one tire cheaper to go with 16's, but i was thinking of getting either the wilwood or rotora brake kit down the road. I believe i have to have 17's for those, dammit why do tires have to jump in price so much 83 to 112 for the same tire just an inch bigger. :p

I have Yokahama parada spec-2 tires. 215/40/17. It has not effected the preformance much. I believe the wheels only weight 16.7 each. But because their 17's, all the rotating mass is towards the outer part of the wheel. For daily driving, their great. I put the 15 inch stockies back on there for drag racing.

I actually came about this close " -- " to buying the Subs. I vote for the Subs and yes, machiii will do price matching. I called them last Thursday to order my 16's and they met a price on the net that was $20.00 lower than what they had listed (www.groupbuycenter.com). They were some nice guys to deal with as well.

i have decided on the subs, so now what color do you think would look the best on a white ep [White or Gunmetal with polished lip]

I don't think that i will get a 2nd pair to race in since that money will be in my SC fund, so would 225 tires be much heavier than 215's, i doubt it but in case im the dark on this subject i want to double check with others;)

ok i have changed my mind again;) bare with me, i just can't see spending $218 more for the difference in rims and tires. Seeing how i will be quicker with the slips. Now what color is the best on white, im stuck between white,gunmetal/polished lip, or flat black.

are kidding i think the ep looks sick with the right set-up in white, slips would look fine.
