To answer questions about what I paid, I promised that I would not specify the amount, however they were purchased from none other but Showstoppers

First off, sorry no during installation pics

Now for the initial review

Ease of install-straight forward minus four springs all labeled front

Cost/time of install-4.5 hours at $75/hr with tax it was just under $500 to install the coilovers and ES motor mount inserts

Any noises?
At first I had a few noises from the rear, once I isolated the sound I found out it was my exhaust hitting something. I did a quick fix since I also have the progress sways with my ground control setup but this fix was now the cause of another noise. Once my "quick fix" was undone all rear noise has vanished. I do have a few noises coming from the front however. It sounds as if something is binding a little bit when I turn my wheels, this should easily be solved with some lubricant/grease of some kinda. Other than that, no noises.

Comfort?
Prior to having these installed I have been running ground controls with stock shocks with a near 3" drop. The ride was firm and was getting very bouncy. Now, the ride is as firm if not a little bit firmer. I am running 17" rims, with 215/40/17. After an hour drive home and a little bit of city driving, you most definately feel the road and all of its imperfections, however in all honesty I don't feel that it is any rougher then my prior setup. Now instead of going bouncy bouncy I just stick to the road. There is now ZERO brake dive, and if you turn your wheel you go where you point, for those with sway bars I'm sure you noticed the decrease in body roll during on/off ramps etc etc, now I have an even greater sense of stability on the road and when cornering, the car remains flat and neutral.

Would I recommend this product?
My first Progress purchase was their front and rear sway bars. I have nothing but good things to say about them even though the rear bar used to hit my exhaust. After researching different options I decided what better way to have differenct components compliment eachother so I decided to go with these coilovers. I would most definatley recommend these to someone in the market, maybe not if they have severe back issues due to the firmer ride.

Quality of product-10
Cost of product-8
Quality of instructions/ease of install-9

Look forward to further comments as the week progresses

good review! I saw in the vendor's sales forum that they had them listed for $1149 shipped.

I dunno if you can grab a pic of this, but if you can take a pic of the engine bay (the tie rod, specifically) which might show the sort of angle it has, that'd be awesome. I'm trying to find something with a lower steering arm on the strut. :)

once again, thanks for the review.

Good review.
Can you adjust the dampening on these, or are they just height
adjustable? I'd love to see a pic of the upper mount (i.e. before
they were installed) but I guess that's not possible now. Does it
reuse the stock upper mount/bearings?

$500 for install makes baby Jesus cry. :'(  :'( So
glad I installed mine myself.

What do you think of the motor mounts?

Cant wait to see pics. I'm gonna be in the market for something in a few weeks just wanna know whats out there. I was thinking of the Tanabe setup but I dont wanna spend over 1200k unless they perform top notch..

For those who want to know how these are assembled, this is page four from Progress's instrucions

Here is a pic I managed to take of the front for now

These are not externally adjustable like the Tein Flex for example. They are rebuildable, what that means is you can have them revalved and for different rates.

Motor mounts- I think they were a good $20 mod. Vibration has increased ever so slightly, had this car not been my daily driver, I may not have noticed a difference. For those who say they 100% eliminate wheel hop, I would have to disagree. I was playing around a little bit, and managed to get my car to the point were had I not let off the gas it would have been jumping. However, I feel that they do a very good job of reducing wheel hop.

Hey, that's great man. They look great, I'm sure everything will work itself out in the next few days of driving.

Update- I assumed that all the noises I was having was due to the upper perches rubbing binding in some way. Today I purchased some Spray Grease which contained teflon and lithium. I sprayed both sides of all four perches and took her out for a spin.

*****ALL NOISES ARE GONE******

The car is running great, riding excellent, and carves corners like a machine now. Fantastic product!!

Did you lower your car close to what it was with the ground control's and if so do you have a rear camber kit on? I really gearing up to get a full coilover set but I would like to know if it was possible to correct the rear camber and not have the tires rub on the fender. I'm gonna try to get Coilovers, camber kit, rear sway and f&r tower bars all at the same time. And Pics of the car now would be great...

The front is the same height, and I had the rear raised a but just to even the car out, looks better imo

I've had the spc front/rear camber kit since the car was first dropped, and I have never had any rubbing issues

The car's dirty but maybe I'll throw up some pics tomorrow

My stock tires were worn to shit and I dont want my summer tires to go the same way.. Oh not to get off topic since we live in roughly the same area were did you order your Hondata from if you dont mind me asking?
