Ok tax time has now come and i want to get headers and exhaust for my hatch...however i will only be able to buy one right now and the other later on in a couple weeks or so.

I want to get a really good exhaust system so i was thinking Greddy EVO2. I want something very quiet. i don't like the loud ass rice sound. Any better thoughts?

If i get headers i am going go with DC sports.

OR! should i just go get Hondata done and hold off on headers and exhaust?(I HATE 6800 RPM redline!!!)

Which will show the best gains in power?

Any suggestions?

Hondata reflash and Hondata manifold gasket.

Yeah i would say go with the hondata. In order to get the best performance you really have to do the exhaust and header so for the most bang for the buck as quickly as possible the reflash is the way to go.

would i really feel the diff if i got hondata before all that stuff? Would hondata make it to where i would have to reprogram the ECU again before i go turbo?

Im really curious... our stock exhaust manifold doesnt look that bad at all.. i dont see y you would wana replace it... in pictures next to the dc sports header, it looks exactly the same..

Our car actually only has one header. Yes, the Magnaflow exhaust is pretty loud. It

Well what kind of HP gains do you see with Hondata on a EP with CAI only?

With the AEM CAI, DC headers, and Greddy EVO2 exhaust what kind of numbers will i run in the 1/4? and what kind of HP will i be looking at?

I am now thinking about just saving up for a Greddy turbo kit:confused:

You said you were looking for a quiet exhaust. I have the evo and I like the sound and appearance.
I never said anything about dc headers.
If thats the question hondata for sure over dc headers.

I would go with hondata after I had some pretty big mods already kinda like the icing on the cake ya' know.
I have the evo but no header yet so its up to you on which header to pick but personally I would go with exhaust and headers first because your gonna have to get em sometime and its always a good place to start after cai. Thats what I did.
Now I gotta start savin my milk money for a turbo.:D

I go with the exhaust first since a header with stock setup is kinda pointless IMO

ditto and from what I hear the stock header isn't all that bad performance wise except for the ugly looks.

so the stock header is pretty good then??

if so then i will just get exhaust and save up for turbo or fiberimage lip kit.

here we go. final decision is to just get Greddy EVO2 exhaust and Hondata reflash. no header yet...thoughts?

might go with magna-flo exhaust due to price.

I haven't heard anything about it not being smog legal but I know the jet chip will not pass smog and I think they do the same thing except for the 7800 redline hondata gives you.

If money is the problem, I would go with magnaflow exhaust. I have had it for about 8 months now and it is kind of loud but mostly on longer trips on the highway; it seems to drone your ears a little. I had my brother drive it and i drove next to the car after it was installed and it sounded really nice. Doesn't sound ricey at all. I am a fan of the stock-looking dual tip also.

If I had to do it again, I would still go with the magnaflow exhaust and use the money I saved for a dc header or put it towards a reflash. I got my cat back for 305 shipped NIB off ebay. The deals are out there if you really want it bad enough.

If I had a little more money then, i would have definately gone with Borla. Not that anyone cares what I say anyway.
