Thought I would put these up. I am running 235/40/17's with +42 offset. I would not go any tighter with them in offset for the 17's.
You can likely fit 16's around these but not with the +42 offset. Something near +38 would likely work well for the 16's;)
More than excellent stopping power. Rear calipers were painted black to match.

Those look great!! I'm trying to figure out what's different about your wilwoods compared to mine. . .Did you add something to the calipers or are those not 4-piston calipers?? They look great inside of those wheels. Nice

How in the world did you fit 235? Did you fit them in the rear as well?

where did you get them from?
I got them from Lane Automotive in MI. At the time (last July) they were the last kit they had. I will be getting the rear wilwood rotors to match.

Did you add something to the calipers or are those not 4-piston calipers??
Yes they are 4 piston. Post up a pic of yours chet, would like to see what the diff. may be.

How in the world did you fit 235? Did you fit them in the rear as well?
235's fit well on all 4's, grip is superior to any tire I have run in the past.
235 is the largest you can go with this offset. The tires run flush with the body and don't stick out at all. I may roll the rear fenders up a bit but so far no problems under hard cornering.

Do you have a pic from farther away from the car?
I will take some more soon when the weather clears up, I just have close up for now.

No they won't, I guess it looks a little deceiving ;)

how much did they run you?
$610US w/ braided lines.

So here's a pic. It's a little far away. But from what I'm seeing, your calipers have 4 bolts on the outside, mine do not have those.

I love the stopping power for sure, they are my favorite mod. Johnny, I got your email--I'm glad you got rid of it. ANy pics of your wilwoods??

MyeverlovinSir, what size are the rotors you have? 12.2" w/my kit.

is this the same kit we can get from brakezone?

I thought the kit was about 750 for the fronts (rotors, calipers)

Looks really good. I want to pick up a set hopefully by summer.

I have 12.19" rotors as well. The directions I got were for the Dynalite kit (p/n 140-6163-D) '-D' is for crossdrilled. However my calipers are more like the Dynapro kit.

Here is a pic of what the calipers for the Dynalite kit look like.

Here is of a pic of the Dynapro kit, only I got 4 lug, no rounded edges on mine and without the little '4 piston' wording accross the caliper. (They changed the design slightly)

I doubt you will find exactly what I have on. I talked with a guy at wilwood a little while ago and he thinks I got some hybrid kit.:D

Myeverlovin has the billet calipers. Chet has the forged. Forged are supposed to be lighter and stronger, thus the added cost. I'm sure there's something else that I'm missing in the price difference, but don't recall right now.

u know what the crazy thing is with the ones i got?

1: i had an alpine dvd player from 1999-2000
2: there's a sprint/nascar performace shop around here
3: they have a wilwood account
4: i have a friend who works in their shop
5: he wanted an alpine dvd player
6: i wanted wilwood brakes
7: he can get wholesale prices
8: he traded me wilwood brakes/stainless steel braided brakelines for the dvd player
9: total cost for me
10: NOTHING....

I think you need to look more closely newb, especially the right front. The pics are only of the fronts.;)

Edit: the link you gave is a brembo consideration, but don't believe everything you read about curved vanes and how they will improve heat dissipation based on direction. The cross-drilled rotor has much better heat dissipation through the centre and is more effective than the direction or curve of the vanes. Wilwood configures all of their rotors to run the curved vanes from the outside diameter to the inside accross the calipers. Chet also has his vanes running in the same configuration even though brembo mentions that does not matter for straight vanes. Again, two completely different companies and ideas about vanes.

Great comparison pics. I didn't even realize there were different "kits" available at least as far as caliper design. . .

Not too much of a difference between kits Chet. The version you are seeing in these pics is the older billet styled dynalite. The caliper we used for your kit is the new forged version. The rotors are also slightly different as well. Besides the face pattern i mean.

The dynapro set up is not available for the civic. Well, not that i know of atleast.

there's our resident brake expert. docofmind, just want to verify that you sell a kit that will still allow for our factory 15 inch wheels? Thanks.

I figured there wasn't much of a difference in performance, but the looks of the other kit just made me wonder. Don't worry!! I'm not at all disappointed in my kit. I love it. I've been giving people your # and have hopefully sent some business your way. ANybody recently call you about EP brake kits?? Don't see you much around here anymore--good to hear from you.

I know i havnt been around much and it sucks. I have no free time to surf boards anymore. I have been building so many new kits for cars like the 350Z, E46 M3 and NSX + a few more, that I havnt had much time to do anything. On top of that, my S is in the shop being painted so I havnt been driving much either, well, nothing fun atleast. We did buy a Scion for the shop:) I ll try and get you some pics of the recent stuff if your interested.

In regards to the 15" wheel civic kit. Well, i got about half way done with it and my attention got drawn elsewhere. There just didnt seem to be enough demand to make it work while there was so much demand elsewhere. Wilwood is actually building a new radial mount caliper that would be perfect for this car. Once I get the prototype of that caliper, I ll finish the smaller civic package up.

I would definitely love to see pics of your S2K after the paintjob, and the pics of the Scion would also be sweet.
