plans for an engine

im just wondering...lets say you swap your k20a3 motor for the a2 or a1 or whatever and the new motor is in your car, what do u do with the old motor? keep it? or do you give it to someone for money? i dont get it..haha i think im just confusing myself but yeah after the swap where does the old engine go? do end up leaving the engine at the shop until u find someone to buy it??? thanks please relieve me of this stupid question.:rolleyes:

You got it all wrong. You take out the a3 and put in the a2 or a. You can do whatever you wish with the old a3 engine. Sell it for about $1500, give it away or keep it for when you can't sell the car and have to swap it back in inorder to trade the car in.

what vertigo said... i would sell it... makes the k20a2 or k20a that much more affordable!!! darn all you lucky guys who can afford a swap!

Or, when you buy the K20a2, pick up a tranny with it. Then sell your tranny on the EP and use that money for a a2 swap on your a3, thus having two a2's. P I M P! Or instead of buying the a2 tranny, just buy an a2 head, lol.

The whole idea was to have a back up motor for your fully built one!;) then you could just get sick wit it.

I would prob keep mine. Mostly because I work for a car dealership and we have the space to store it.

But if someone offered me 2k for it.. SHIT......SOLD!:D

orrr....... keep the A3 in your car, buy another blown K20A2 or 3 or a K24 build that w/ better pistons and rods and them swap the new built short block in.
