okay - i just want to complain and vent on here....So, I wake up this morning for my 8 o'clock class that I never go to, but decide to go to since I'm having a review for my final today and I walk out to my car and it looks a little lopsided to me. SoOOo...yup - rims and tires GONE...and my car's laying on a piece of wood and a jack. So I acted like a girl, started crying - called my dad to comfort me - yelled at my boyfriend because I had no one else to yell at, and called 911 because this is a MAJOR emergency to me. So, anyway - anyone have good suggestions for replacements? I'm totally clueless on what to get, and I don't want to spend much more than what the insurance is giving me (which I have no clue how much they're giving me yet)

Ouch... sorry to hear that. At the dealer I bought my EP from, I was walking around looking at all the cars, and I saw a yellow AP1.... up on blocks, with no rims. IN THE DEALER LOT. I asked my salesman about it, and he was just like, "those guys had major balls, that's about all I'll say."

If so... Don't worry! The stock rims and tires aren't that great anyway, so you can look at this as an oppurtunity to get a good set of aftermarket rims and tires!

Oh, sorry to hear :( I'd be upset if my wheels got stolen. I like my bridgestones and be mighty upset if I had to replace them and wait for someone to order them and such :( ...

I dunno, I think there are some nice stock rims out but you have to order them at the dealers and not every dealer has the sales broschures ....

thanks everyone - ya, i should be looking at this as good because they stole my stock rims and tires, so now I can get better ones, but it's just really inconvenient. well, I'm going to look around for some new rims right now...any good suggestions?

The list price for stock wheels is $244.50 per plus $25.36 per center cap and tires $137.65. The insurance might take down the tires to $100 per because of wear, but that's still nearly $1500. That could get you some 16x7 OZ Superleggera's with 205/50/16 Pirelli PZero Nero's. Pretty good step up from stock.

Sorry to here about your bad luck but hey...if I were you I'd go look around in the Members Rides section and see what kind of wheels you like on other people's cars. Also think about what size you want (15,16,17, etc) and what kind of look you are going for (big fat spokes, smaller spokes, jdm look). I'd say it'd also help you out to check out ebay, jaydm.com, machii.net, etc etc. Do you want a lightweight/racing type rim or are you in it strictly for looks? If you get $1500 like suggested, that's a good amount to play around with...OZ, Volks, etc. And if you like em...maybe get some Rota's and some really nice tires...hell, you can almost get two sets!! But also, remember...if they stole your wheels once, who's to say they won't do it again? Maybe you should invest a little in an alarm? Haters and theives suck...hopefully it won't happen again...can't wait to see what kind of new shoes you get hooked up with. Good Luck!! :D

ya, i got a quote from one honda dealership saying i'd get around 1500....and then another honda dealership said i'd only get $62.84 for each wheel, $153.03 for tires and $29.16 for the cap..so hopefully it is the 1500...

Polished silver, gunmetal, gunmetal/polished lip, black (glossy or flat), bronze, etc etc?

Use the money to buy some 2x4's and start building a garage. only needs to fit your car so wont take too long. maby 48 to 72 hrs strait. lol j/k.

Ok im done being an ass. for 1500 you have plenty of choices just shop around. and when you do get new wheels buy some locking lugs. it at least helps. Alarm is good too but if your worried about money, that isnt an option. unless you save alot on your new rims/tires.

sorry to hear that sexy. for $1500, and since it is your 1st mod, i say maybe add extra $100-$200 or so and you can also go to your 2nd mod, and get:

1. 16's rota slipstreams - about $800
2. tein basice coilover kit - about $800
3. also, dont forget to get some wheel locks.

It's my understanding that for your payout, your deductible is taken off the value that the insurance company determines the loss to be.

So, if the insurance company determines that the loss of the rims and tires is $1500 and the deductible on the insurance policy is $500, a check will be cut to the policy holder for $1000.

I think, you should buy an X10 camera and place it where they can't see it so you can get a shot of their ugly asses. Get the nigt vision one. Heck, maybe 2. One for your car, and one for the street to see the stealers car!!!!


BTW, get some rota's or rev wheels. They don't cost much, but still look really good. If that's all your planning on using your car (daily driver) then get some cheaper nice looking wheels.

man, i'd really be pissed if this happened to me.

stock replacements aren't that hard to come by, and shouldn't cost too much out of pocket.

if you happen to get $1500 for your loss, i'd say buy some stocks and do your suspension.

sorry it happened to you, but when you replace your wheels get wheel locks, it is worth it for $40. It may not prevent them from stealing, but it will make it alot harder. The low qoute you got from another honda dealer is for stell wheels, don't let insurancde company tell you that your car came with steel wheels. Regular civic's do, your stock wheels are alloy, and if you still have malrooney sticker (manufacturer's window sticker) you can fax it to them as proof that you had alloys.

hey everyone, well, Sonny helped me out a lot w/ my car and I bought his stock tires n rims off of him and put them on my car. Since I got a good deal on them, it's not really worth me claiming insurance. Well, Thanks to everyone who's been helping me out...especially Sonny! Just sucks that the first amount of money i've ever put into my car went towards stock tires n rims..but oh well :)

with that amount of $, i would get 16" or 17" black racing pro-1 or buddy-club p-1 and buy it as a rims and tires package.... they run for again $900-$1100...

neuspeed upper front strut bar for $125
rear type-s 19mm sway bar for $65 with install
