I won a bid on a base model rsx header, because i heard u will get more torque and high end power, what do u guys think????

I just purchased an OEM rsx header that fits our cars off ebay for $50. Was this a good purchase? I've seen a few of these sold for all about the same price and I assume most people shop ebay yet are spending hundreds buying borla headers etc. Did I just waste my money on this, or do you think it will work good? Please give me your opinions. thanks


Dude, is the header you bought the gunmetal one? Sorry man if it is, because that's the same header that comes original equipment on the Si. I think of of our members sold it and posted a thread on it.

the header i believe is the same as the si. It's the dual runner intake manifold on the base rsx that gives the extra 10 lbs oomph.

yes, the header on the base rsx and the si are the same, however, you're wrong about the intake manifold. the si is infact the one that got the good (RSX-S) intake manifold, and the base rsx has the crappy one.

if u guys are going to get a header get the type-s headers after market or stock, i have the comptech type-s headers, this thing is HUGE!!!! compared to the stock Si. you will only have one problem the cat will not want to bolt up to the header because the headers bolt holes are wider then the Si cat holes. just be persistante it will work, after a while the bolt will bend tho so put some anti seeze on the theads. But you will definately feel the differece.
