throttle cable

i just got some info on k-series.com on tightning the throttle cable what does this do???

It'll help you get rid of a little slack on the gas pedal. Don't go too far or you'll up your idle and it'll stick on you.

I just did this too . . . .but I had to tighten it all the way. even so, the idle isn't higher--the part the cable runs around is just barely pulled. Maybe my cable is stretched out a bit.
