nice selection on wheels but you should consider getting a camber kit with your springs. you wouldnt want those brand new tires to go to waste =OP cause i sure wouldnt

Thanks. For a setup like this you don't need a camber kit-just an alignment.;)

Haha-kids:rolleyes:

what are you smoking? for a 2" drop you will definitly NEED a camber kit. the stock suspension cannot adjust enough to compensate for a 2" drop:(

I also have H&R sport springs with 215/45/17. I thought I dont need the kit but after a week I can already see that I needed It. Installed
SPC rear camber kit and the ride has tremendously improved. Your gonna be getting -1.6 to 1.8 in your rear camber. Think about it.

The gentleman I'm taking my car to has been in business for at least 15 years. I've known him since I was 12, (member of the family) SO I BELEIVE HIM WHEN HE SAYS I WON'T BE NEEDING A CAMBER KIT!!!

I don't think you know what YOU are talking about:(

You dont NEED a camber kit even with a 5" drop. however, with any type of drop(even if its .5") you should get one in order to get a correct alignment. most people will say that with a drop lower then 2", a camber kit is HIGHLY recommended.
Preventing tyre wear isn't the only job that camber kits do. They also allow infinite adjustment of your camber, so depending what kind of driving or racing you are involved in, you will always be able to change the settings to accommodate the road conditions and handling characteristics.
It's your car, Do whatever you want.
Post alignment specs after you get realignment./\

i have had my h&r's on my car for over 10000miles and had the same rims and tires on most of that time and i have little to know camber wear. i have exactly 1.8 degrees of negative camber in the back. as long as the caster and toe are set correctly you shouldn't have that bad of a wear problem.

You might be wanting a Camber kit for a 2" drop. Im riding on H&R and it 2". My tires a wearing like crazy. It almost gone already. I might be needing new tires pretty soon.

i think yur mechanic needs a new profession. by the way whats the name of this shop you go to? i want to be sure never to take my car there. no tire wear with a 2'' drop you crazy just like the stuff you and yur mechanic are smokin. i have eibach sportlines 1.5'' drop i've had my car aligned numerous times(i have no camber kit) and if i dont rotate my tires often the inside edge gets wrecked. by the trime you figure in the cost of yur new 18'' tires every other month you'd be safer to get kit.

Hmmmm....I've had a number of cars (95 civic, 87 corolla gts, and a 92 celica all trac) with at least a 1.7" drop-the celica with a 2" drop, and didn't need a camber kit-just an alignment. Just rotated them regularly and the tires wore VERY evenly after several thousand miles.

i've had 90 civic si, integra, GTi, and none needed a camber kit and all were 2 or more inch drops.....for some reason the ep needs it even with 1.5 or more....i have progress springs with 17's and spc rear camber kit only....i had big bear tire align it and set the front camber at -1.2 and the rear at -1.5....with the rear progress sway the set up is drive-oh-licious!!!!!!!!!

p.s. i was a week and a half from ordering the rpm2's in 17's....after waiting 5 months to do it....now, seeing as you are in WI also, i will have to come up with a new choice.....damn...post some pix when you get them............later

Dude, whether you have known the guy since you were 12 or not is irrelevant. I think you'll find on this board that most people who have their EP dropped 1.5" or more need a rear camber kit. That's just how the suspension on our cars are. I have Sportlines and have an Ingalls rear kit.

Congrats on the new mods man ;)

I'm excited to see the pics, especially the EVO2 because it's on the top of my list, as far as exhaust's are concerned. I've been reading a lot of problems involving EVO2 on dropped EP's and am hoping that isn't an issue so I can order it myself...

I have H&R springs on my ride. I've rotated my tires every 6,000 miles. For the most part my tires have worn very evenly.

HOWEVER, I can visually see that the car could definitly benefit from a camber kit. I do plan on getting one.

Like peacemaker said...you don't NEED a camber kit...but it does benefit the ride GREATLY.
