just push and pull towards you then it should come out

The directions are in the owners manual but since I just did this I'll help you out...
First slide/push the housing towards the door of the car. Then get the edge of the housing nearest the headlights and pull straight towards you and away from the body. Once you do that, you should be able to slide/pull the clip from the part nearest the door.
To put them back in, put the part of the housing with the clip in the slot/cutout part near the door first...slide it toward the door, then push inward on the other section until it pops in!
If you have any other questions, let me know! :D

You could always unclip some of the wheel well liner that way you can directly access it from behind.

Yep, that's what I did.

Are both of these methods discussed here used to replace the sidemarkers with DC5 sidemarkers? I talked with a friend of mine that works at a body shop and he said remove the wheel liner and the is a type of wing nut holding it in. Take that off and replace. Is that right? I thought you can just pop it in and out?

How about the running lights on the rear bumper, I have a burnt out bulb and need to fix it. Does it come off the same way as the sidemarker?

The rear side markers just pop out as well. You can get to the back side of those without unbolting or unclipping anything.

Ahh I see...so you could just pull the plug from the back rather than pop the whole rear sidemarker out? Cause I tried to pull it out and it doesn't want to go, haha.

Make sure you push the sidemarkers the right way. Or you will break a the holding clips.

The DC5 sidemarkers are Amber and a perfect fit. Try Showstoppers or Password JDM. I got mine off of Ebay personally.

Edit: That's what you're looking for and all you need.

are these for the fender sidemarks or the bumper ones? How do u get the bumper ones out?

They are fender sidemarkers. Bumper ones are longer. But they can be removed in the same way as the fender sidemarkers, just slide it out (though I forget which way you slide them -- towards the front or rear of the car).

Anyone know which way to slide the bumper lights? My car didn't come with an owners manual.

Going to replace these soon. Anyone have a good experience with clear lenses (from where)? Or want to sell me your oems? ha

What about the ones from showstoppers? They come with the wiring harness.

The harness is necessary, correct?

pynikal
08-10-2008, 09:56 AM
no its just the lens lights and sockets. if i need a harness i can make one. its not that hard; the price almosted doubled for the one with the harness. and i think that the ones with the harness are for cars w/o sidemarkers ie: older civics, teggys, and accords stuff like that.

Can anyone with the JDM sidemarkers clarify?

Harness or no harness for the ep?

i didn't use the harness when i installed my sidemarkers from showstoppers. Just popped the old ones out and the new ones in. The bumper markers and sidemarkers slide toward the back of the car to come out.

off topic: does anyone have stock amber bumper markers lying around in their garage they can sell to me? I only need to replace one since it got cracked.

Thanks! I just messed this up by doing it WRONG and bought a new one from Majestic Honda... Suxor! But this helps now. I broke the back clip off...

i broke my stock lights. i think the amber side markers look 100% better. best $30 i spent on the car.

I agree. I like the side marker lights a lot. However, when I bought the car used, it only had one... and the factory sells them for $77 a piece.... So I went and bought the "euro clear" side markers... $20 for both shipped. Doesn't look AS good, but putting white light bulbs in my side markers and signal markers kinda made it better. But again, I wish I still had my amber ones...

i just installed them yesturday. took me about.....oh......2 mins. the only difference is you have to use the bulb and socket from your EP3 because the clip is different but that is all that is different! very easy install and the look is amazing. $37 shipped from password:JDM
