low fuel light?? [Archive]

i picked up my EP maybe a month and a half ago and my low fuel light comes on when i used 9.5 gallons. I know the tank holds 13.3 gallons and am wondering if anyone else is having this problem and if this is normal or should i take it in to check. if it helps, i drive from the bay area down to san luis obispo(calpoly) and it turns on when i reach like 274 miles..any help will be great..thanks.

yea my light lights up at about 9.5-10.. dang you get good gas mileage having 274 miles only on 9.5 gallons. i only get about 230 for 9.5

It's a good thing, you don't want to run out of gas. Running out of gas can cause damage to the fuel system. Be happy it comes on early.

good thing its a good thing then. yea it jus freaked my out. i was tryin to hit at least 30 mpg but i dunno..cant get to it. im goin from like 60-95 mph also..

Mine does it too. I drove about 40mi. with the low fuel light and the car took 10.5 gal.

It totally depends on how hard you drive ur Si. Vtec eats the gas up, so if you drive it aggressively then its really gonna eat the GAS!! I know I get shitty gas mileage, but I have to admit that I through it into Vtec all of the FREAKING TIME :D Oh well if you cant enjoy it, theres no point in having it!!!
