I could've sworn that I saw a "how much did you buy your EP for" thread, but I can't find it.

I've been to this one dealership 3 times for a 2002 Euro Yellow (new). They keep trying to sell it as if it were a new 04... They won't budge under $17k. I keep pushing hard for $14k, and they think I'm crazy! (edmunds.com 2002 civic Si TMV: $14,100)

How much did you pay?
What year?
New/Used?
Finance?

Thanks

I paid 16k for a 02 in 02. It was not too hard, just tell them that a dealer across town has made you an offer for the low price you want, but that the accross town dealer is a total prick (because he ignored you for an hour), so you want to give try another dealer. Though if he is unwilling to budge on the price, then no sale. Also it helps to go in at the end of the week in the evening when they are trying to meet quotas...

What is up with the caps mang? You bought it, and like anything. It is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. The car is not a POS, dude you need to understand that the car is better than most. Just not popular, it isn't the first car to be like this

Yeah, thats for sure. I bought my 02 fully loaded Pontiac GAGT for about $24K. In one year and 25K miles later, it was only worth $13K and you can find a lot of them with only 8K miles selling for about $9K. So I think the EP's value isnt all that bad.

over 18K = didn't do your homework
value at 10K now? -- BS, My friend JUST bought a used one for 15,800.

Ease up on the crack, calm down, and go sell your car.

A year ago at this time, i could have gotten a 02 Si for 14.6k, that was what the dealer quoted me over the phone without even haggling yet! Now im trying to get an 03 leftover Si, i dunno what price i'll be able to get.

he has a point, the resale value on the Si is that of a damn ford, 50% depreciation w/in one year, is sad... I remember when I bought my delSol in 1999, it was a 1993 orig. sticker $13,500 I paid $6,000 for a 6 year old car w/60,xxx miles on it, that's decent resale value, but in six years the ep will be worth...$2000 that's sad

the older si's 99-00 are selling for orig. sticker, w/50xxx miles and being 3-4 years old,

anyone think it's crappy that a 4 year old Si is worth more than our brand new ones....

A lot of new cars are losing there value due to the low interest on new cars making it easier to buy a new car then a used one. You will find if you privately sell your car you will be able to get $13-$14K for it.

not sure where in NJ you are but 2 of us on here got 03 leftovers in the last 2 months from Open Road Honda in Edison for under 15.5k. if they still have any you should be able to get one under 15k now. go there and talk to Rab Nawaz. he sold me the Si with no haggle..the easiest car purchase i ever made!

Thanks man, actually I was looking into getting one from there since Planet Honda doesnt have any 03 leftovers left. I will talk to the guy you suggested, who should I say referred me?

btw, i was able to get an '04 Si down to about 16.5k from Planet, but i decided to try to go for an '03 if i could get it under 15k.

2003, bought new in September '03 for $16,500 + TTL at 1.9% Honda financing for 60 months. One of the best cars I've ever had. 100% trouble-free in 7200 miles. Most of the time I would rather drive it than the A4 or Porsche.
