Hey, I recently picked up my EP for $8600. Right now it has a Salvage Title and in the next couple months I will be getting a rebulit title and getting her on the road.

So the car is going to sit for something like 50+ days.

Id like to know what you guys think i should do to it while its sitting?

NO performance mods, but things i should look for at 20k miles.

What does the dealer normally replace or inspect on a 20k mile check up?

Thanks for your input, btw, this is my first thread here on EPhatch.com its an awsome sight

Anyone?
Idle is alittle loud, could it be from sitting or is there something i should look at?

for your high idle

click here (http://www.k-series.com/tech_detail.php?Tech_ID=EP3_THROTTLE_ADJ)

maybe you can do that....but instead of trying to get rid of the slack...you might want to give it a little so your idle is not so high. hope that helps

Idle Isnt High, more of just noisy, kinda like when you get shitty gas. Not the normal honda silence im used to.

Any one have any suggestions for what i mentioned before? 20,000mile check up? And or storing the car for 50+ days?

This forum pisses me off. I tried to post in this thread like 4 times
yesterday and couldn't. That might be why the lack of response.

Anyway:
Why was it originally salvaged? Flood/wreck??? If so, are you asking
what to look at since it's salvaged, or is it already repaired and
will just be sitting for 50 days?
If it's already repaired/running fine and is just going to sit for
a little while, not much you need to do. Maybe add some octane booster
in the gas, but that's about it.

If this is the first service since you got it, I'd change all fluids
(oil, tranny, clutch, brake and coolant/antifreeze). Check/replace
the plugs.
Your "loud" idle sounds like an exhaust leak, but are you hearing
more exhaust or engine noise? Might want to check out the intake
and make sure everything is kosher there (filter is clean, sensors
are installed, etc).

It was flooded, water supposedly did not come over the seats.

Any suggestions of things I should look for would be much appreciated.

Ive driven the vehicle and it drives nicely.

The noise im hearing is in the Engine not exhaust, sounds like cheap gas. Know how you would get a slight knock?

Ill be driving the car an Hour back to my home so i think ill have time to look for anything nessary.

I just couldnt pass up getting an Ep3 for $8600

They are iridium. Replace them anyway. Check all the fluids etc. Did somone attempt to start the car when it was flooded?

car was only flooded to floor boards....i dunno if anyone started it then, but doesnt seem like it would be a problem, no more than driving through a puddle
