All aftermarket HID's are illegal in states.
Just get them. You won't get pulled over.
I am planning to get it, once my bulbs goes out.

Thought I would ask so I am not kicking myself latter because I could have gotten one at a good price. I know I want a high low kit though. The highs will be great for the back roads that I take. I just got liking the HID's after driving my mother's BMW.

What are the chances of a state trooper knowing that our cars didnt come factory equiped with hids? Its a risk i'd take.

That is one reason I want a high low kit. That way if I do get pulled over I might be able to pull off that they are stock if he can see that I have both high and low beems.

You can add HID to your car legally. The sylvania auxiliary lights are HID and legal. Check out this thread for more details:

are HIDs okay without changing the housings? I'm not sure stock housing can handle all these bright lights
