Rust on the seam of the B pillar

I was detailing my car yesterday and as I was washing the inside of the driver's door I noticed something. The seam is rusting and the paint around it is bubbling. My car is an 02 purchased in May 03 and I can't believe its rusting already. This is a for sure warranty claim but what a pain. Maybe you fellow ep-hatchers should have a check as well.

No sign of a scrach or anything? That does suck though. Will have to watch out for that when I detail out my car in the next few weeks.

There is rust on the B pillar as well as there is rust under the hatch area.:'(

I don't have any scratches on my door, you can actually see the rust starting in the seam. I got my car krowned as soon as I got it and I have a life time warrrany from the company. What have the dealers done for you guys?

hahaha ... no ... salt, maybe ... for us Ontarioans.

even if you bathe your car in salt every day, there should never be rust on a car that's only 1 year old. I'll be sure to check carefully when I finally get to my spring cleanup session with the EP.

I've done Krown rustproofing every year on all my cars and never had a problem with rust ... hopefully the EP is no exception.
