I've got a front end I wanna paint. My friend who is an apprentice auto painter said he'd do the work for free, as long as I bought the primer, paint, and clearcoat. I checked it out, and for a quart of OEM paint, primer, and clearcoat, its gonna come out to about $200 bux, but he said it might take him up to a month because he has 2 jobs that take up most of his time. Is that a good deal, or would it be better to take it to another shop? I've read it can only cost like $150 for a front end to be done and it only takes a day or two.

Thanx

I've seen the work my friend has done and its awesome. He painted his own kitted & molded Del Sol with custom sideskirts, plus did ghost checkers, painted an old Chevelle, and just recently painted a CRX. I've got full confidence in him. Just want to know if it'd be cheaper and time saving to go with another place.
