Here's the deal...
I've been saving for boost and I've got money burning a hole in my pocket. So, I've been thinking some new shoes would be hot. Before I was just going to go with gunmetal/polished lip slips, but now that I have money I can't help but consider Spoon. I threw mf8s out the window because i KNOW theyll get jacked. At least the Spoons can be mistaken for Rotas. A lot of people have told me that the Spoons weren't worth paying like 4 times the cost of Rota. Anyone that has Rota wheels want to chime in? I'm looking at 16s on a NBP.

Then I think about sleeper style..

i've had over 20 sets of rims from 1997 to now :)

Volk, RH, etc etc

if the EP is your daily driver and you not going for any show's lol

just get the replica's

3 quick and valid points

1. In the "real world" not the internet one... nooone cares :)
2. Would you rather bend a 400+ JDM real deal wheel OR a 100 dollar Rota :) * which i have done with my volks  *
3. Wheels are wheels... weight savings is minimal

like oh man your rims are 20lbs a piece! .....
so lose some weight and even it out ;)

so my vote is for the replica's
and if you crack or bend them
u won't cry:cool:

Just wanted to point this out. . .
Wheels have both translational AND rotational inertia to deal with. Taking 20 lbs out of your trunk does NOT equal the performance of cutting 20 lbs off your rims.

rota....

cause in the real world shit happens and if shit happens to the rims there is a major price difference.;)

(damned college forces my mind to revolve around money in every decision)

go with what you want bro! if you want spoon wheels (which i would get, if finances allowed me to) then handle that. you figure, its your car and you should get whatever you really desire for it. because if YOU WANT the real spoon wheels, and you sell yourself short with replicas... imo, i'd believe that i just wasted my hard earned money. yeah yea, you could sell the reps to somebody, but how much of a loss did you want to take on them? and in the end, you still didnt get "the rims" you wanted... just my .02!;)

and definitely keep a watchful eye on your car... thieves roll everywhere! and haters roll just as thick!

Nippon Racing rims are made at the same place as spoon look just like spoon and like spoon the 15's are 8lbs a rim. The only diff is the center caps and Nippon's are only $400 for the set.

You said you were saving money for boost, so why not spend it on what you were saving it for. Oh and get Rota.

Hmmm... I don't know if I trust a company owned by OBX.

I had These on my car and they where great. The only reason I got rid of them is because the kid had $800 in his pocket and wanted them right now. He also gave me his stockies some people just can't wait.

He gave you $800 and his stockies for used $400 wheels?
