for $1200 you can buy an RSX-S (k20a2) head and ecu and get it installed, 30ish H.P. for $1200 is god for a honda, that will give you the most bang for your buck. (later add ITR cams, etc...:)

Yeah an A or A2 head would be sweet! I also like the Hondata idea too. Tough one CJ, let us know what you decide on!!!

Hondata reflash $575
type-s valve springs $125
megan high flow cat pipe(which is a straight that looks like there is a cat from the outside) $90
type-s headers about .15 inch bigger $60-70 from clubrsx
custom 2.25 cat-back with stainless steel muffler of your choice $200
total: $1050

do you have any suspension work, if it is stock, get tein s-tech springs, showstopperUSA sell them for about $150 shipped?

that will all add up to $1200

next mods: ebc greenstuff brake pads when you surface your rotors, if you don't have rims yet get some rota bronze or black 15 or 16 c-8, c-10, or slip with falken azenis (crazy when it is dry but sicks when they are wet) or fusion zri they are a new brand but they are very good tires dry and wet. i have them both before, i like the fusions a lot better. rsx rear sway bar, front and rear strut bar, spoon shift knob or skunk2 shift knob, and race padles (easier to heel toe), vis mugen style c/f hood, type m front lip, replica jdm style side skirt and rear lip, replica ctr wing, replica ctr front lamp, and change all honda signs to red.

all this will cost you about $3500, it is a lot but when your car is done, your car will look great, decent speed, very nice in handling.
hope it helps....:D

well for 1200, you have a few choices you could buy a mugen suspension
that run you a grand but it beats stock struts with like h&r springs,my used h&rs are for sale as well $80, im all about the mugen its worth the loot, get a mugen rear sway bar that made a pretty big difference in over all handling thats about $650 maybe a little cheaper now i got mine when it first came out, a comptech header will run you a little over $500, Mr. Alex front&rear upper strut tower braces will hit u for about $400, a thermal cat back system is nice looking and has a nice tone not overly ricy thats about $500 ish, or if you wanna blow the whole $1200 it will take some digging but buy the rsx type s head and ecu i luckly found one one this site in the
classified section for $1100, but then you would need it installed there are other things to add to that swap like ctr pistons, higher compression head gasket and other parts which if money isnt a issue be prepared to drop serious cash! Im having the swap done ill have my car back tomarrow, should be interesting skunk2s si with the rsx head swap and ctr pistons is putting out 235whp, ill be running a similar setup with the addition of port&polished head and valve job! This whole car thing is a never ending addiction, take it one step at a time a dont bite off more than you can chew. i guess figure out whats most important to you speed or handling or looks its double edged sword

yeah theres a lot of choices. ive got my car on GC coils and ingalls cambers plus rims so thats handled. but better handling would be great and a faster engine would be great. So im not sure what im going to go for yet but thanks for everyone advice.:D

Get a Type S head and type R pistons and rods. Then go from there. unless you are a forced induction guy then I would say save for a Turbo

type s head and r pistons sounds good. What ecu would be better for this? type s or hondata or type s with hondata?

Nothing, save your money for somthing better, or keep saving for k20a swap. Dont fuck with Si motor it's not worth it.

It really depends on what you want out of your car, I wont be going the turbo route just because I dont want all that goes along with it. I know it is easy power with not much work, but I am just an NA guy. As far as the k20a goes, that is what most everyone on this site would do if we all had around 5g`s to drop into our cars. Personally I am looking for a type s head right now, I am going to be building my bottom end before I do this though so It can take the high revs the a2 head can dish out. As far as the ecu, you can either get hondata to reflash yours or some people sell the ecu with the head. I have nothing against all you turbo ep`s, just not for me.

Dammit, it seems like everyone! is head hunting now. Those things are going to be hard to find and in high demand.

Know what you mean man, I have really been looking high and low for one. I did although find a k20a head but it was around $1700:yellm:
I really dont think Im that hard up for speed right now, But the same place had a really good deal on stock k20a pistons though.
