yeap keeping it :D I wasn't going to because it was taking forever, then they said they couldn't refund my money back, so I said, fuck it, I'll keep it...waste to try and sell it with the low ballers out there.

I'm installing mine next weekend.

yeah damn good question how did it break and how did you fix it?

well with the tentioner pulley you use a bolt to adjust where u want the pulley to be placed to put the tention on it.. as it turns out that bolt is no were near strong enough to put that much presure on it so it broke off the head of the bolt.. since it was easter weekend the usual places to get a new bolt were closed so i went to lowes and got a grade 8 sae 1/4" bolt and re tapped it to metric and re died the hole to match.. works like a charm now

and another thing.. at WOT its boosting 7lbs above 5k rpm.. im going to call jackson later today and tell them about it

lol, I knew it...45 ft lbs isn't much for torque...it says to torque at 45 ft lbs...I've seen people crank down on the tensioners and either do that or snap the belt...not sure if you know, once you torque it to 45lbs...let it run till warm and check again, then check again after a few hours...as it may stretch a tad when new.

here is the video.. 3/4 throttle in first and between the 1-2 shift the jr fuel controller lost power so i ran lean the rest of the way (http://s94810151.onlinehome.us/movies/03%20supercharged%20ep3.AVI)

imo, it will never be as fast as a turbo can be. with the hondata upgrade, I'd expect no more than 210-220whp

spider883
04-15-2004, 09:44 AM
yea i expect 210-230whp depending on the i/h/e setup u go with

but it is more reliable than a turbo and better for a daily driver correct? 200+ whp isnt bad... imo.

I have no idea why everyone thinks a sc is more reliable for daily driving I have the greddy kit its a daily driver and besides making sure my car is warm before boosting and has a chance to cool down after running her hard thats it change the oil and have fun. Both can be safe as long as you install it right and don't overboost and take care of you car like i know we all do.
