I'd recommend using the Genuine Honda MTF. However, if you only have motor oil available, our techs regularly use 10w-30 in place of tranny fluid and it works just fine (just not as smooth shifting). I'd just suggest the Honda MFT because it's better for the trannys than regular oil and seeing as how so many of our trannys seem to be having problems.

Redline MT-90 is one of the best. I will be putting it in my tranny.

Have you guys tried the MTL versus the MT-90? Right now I'm using the MTL but still have the occasional grind and thought about trying the MT-90 instead.

Switch to MT-90. MTL is not appropriate for our tranmissions.

MTL is 70W80 (equivalent to a SAE 5W30/10W30, which is what is recommended for our tranni). And the MT-90 is 75W90. Look in your owners manual if you don
