Just went out and snapped a few pictures, nothing came out too well considering i tried to take night shots without a tripod, but here's my car.. after only 4 months ;)

http://img49.photobucket.com/albums/v150/itsoweezy/mediumass.jpg

Mods are as follows

Suspension:
Mugen Sport Suspension
Progress 22mm Rear swaybar
16" Ray'z gram lights (no labels)
Ray'z blue lug nuts
Dunlop 205/45/16 Tires

Performance:
T1R Bpipe
Spoon n1 Exhaust

Accessories:
RSX-S valve cover (thx ian)
I <3 My Honda decal
DC5R Amber side markers

I think thats all, not too sure but i think i'm making progress to what i want to have. And until then i won't be showing off my car too much but i hope to see some of you at the meets! Peace and feel free to leave a comment.

I don't have a tripod so at the time it seemed like a good idea to just put the camera on the ground on every shot :D

Maybe i'll get some day shots here pretty soon. I just waxed yesterday so i was amped to finally get some pictures..

Next mods are better tires, probably 215/50/16 because the 205/45's don't stuff the wheel well too well, but they came with the rims so what can i say ;)

I was thinking about buying a set and was wondering how strong they were. Its usually says it on the inner part of the wheel. Its usually measured in kilograms.

next time i'm under my car or when i can get a look at the ray'z label inside i'll post up the numbers. shouldn't be a problem with our ep's. i really don't know the weight but they are pretty damn light, even with the tires on. i couldn't give an exact figure dude, check the net, or google it. ;)

How are you liking the Mugen supension? Could you post some more pics of your car from the side so we can see how low it drops? Nice ride btw!

the ride is awesome dude. i love the suspension. they're solid as hell, smooth on bumpy roads and stiff in the turns. half the time i don't even remember my car is lowered ;) but its good, my car doesn't do them justice yet because i have such a small tire which explains the wheel gap but as soon as i get a tripod and some better tires i'll be sure to update this thread. i also added the progress rear sway bar and that definately brought out the potential of the suspension. the back follows the front perfectly. honestly if i could i'de shoot for the rsx mugen suspension for stiffer spring rates but nonetheless i'm happy with what i have. definately worth what you pay for :D

my exhaust/sway bar (minor) rattling solution ;) (as requested)

the spoon n1 against the progress bar seems to rattle (just a bit) when the car is warming up. nothing bad, i just really don't like sounds in my car at all. so, the solution: plumbing faucent insulation foam tubing! it's super easy to install, all i did was attatch it on both ends using c-clamps and voila! no more rattling when starting the car! in addition i added poly exhaust hangers, teflon tape on the underside of the swaybar bushings and a generous amount of lube on the bushings/bar/everything else that is in contact with anything else. check it:

http://img49.photobucket.com/albums/v150/itsoweezy/IMGP0535.jpg

what do u think?

i can supply more information if needed. but first some things to note:
- the tubing doesn't bend/warp
- teflon completely removed any squeeking from the bushings
- 3-in-1 = my new best friend

kool car...very clean...

where did you get your suspension installed and how much you pay???

johnkimble
04-19-2004, 08:08 PM
performance autoworx did it. think it was like 80 bucks

GrahamBo '02
04-19-2004, 08:19 PM
Damn cali.. $80. So cheap. Ughh. :p

Nice low tech solution on the rattle. So, you mentioned noise in the car (which bugs me too). What do you think of the Spoon axel back? Is it very load? What's the sound like? fart can, low rumble, high pitched at speed, or something else?

Sorry for the all the questions, but your setup (sans exhaust) is close to what I'm looking for.

err.. Loud. (sp? doh!)

johnkimble
04-19-2004, 08:24 PM
the only noise i was complaining about was the itty bitty rattles from the swaybar clanging against the exhaust pipe and i didn't want to have the spoon shit altered. axle back isn't loud at all. fairly quiet. with t1r it gets signifigantly louder. search for my thread on this, it has a video. or pm if you can't find it.
