Well, I got my renova wing last week and finally had some time to bring it to a shop to get a paint quote. I swung by this place in my town called Perfection Auto (http://www.perfectionauto.com)

The guy told me it would cost $550.00 to paint it the factory nighthawk black.

I said thanks for your time and got the hell out of there.

Is it unreasonable to think I could get this painted in the factory color for around $200?

man i got mine done for 100. partially cus i had a hookup and partially cuz it was a bundle painting. but seriously...i wouldnt pay more than 200. if you could get it down to about 150 thats what i would do..

hey, ep pilot works at an autobody shop in california. it might be a pain to ship it from Massachusettes but he could probaby hook u up...iuno, just a thought =o)

anyways...yea 5-600 is way way way way way too much

While we are on the topic of painting parts. Do you guys know exactly how much it might cost to get my body kit(Buddy Club2) Painted? And what it might cost to have it fitted and installed? Im new to body kits and I'd rather stay away from doing it myself, lest I might end up wasting my investment.

holy shit.. i wouldnt of been that nice if someone quoted me 500 bux to paint a fucking spoiler.. gheeeezz.. i paid 100 bux cash for my wing painted and molded to fit the usdm Si..damn i wouldnt pay more then 125 for paint..

i was talking to an auto body guy, and he said for a whole kit with good paint and fitting and stuff was upwards of 1000. i suppose

That 1000 scared the heck out of me until I re-read that and saw.. "for a whole kit" phew..

for a good paint job with a clear coat and everything... yeah.. about 1000. I have the kaminari kit and I just had them paint it and I did the installation and it only cost me 400 bucks... granted the BC kit is MUCH larger.

here in FL paint and install is usually around 600 bucks to make it fit everything

and wing usually cost 100 bucks

Luckily, I am trained in automotive painting, restoration, and the works...we got a class at school that teaches. Ive done two cars so far so Id feel comfortable painting mine myself. Materials may still get expensive though. and finding a paint booth may be an even bigger problem. my friend has one though:D
