Prada, I would like to see pix if possible. What is the sound like?
I keep checking on Comptec's website, but they still show no products for the EP. Where is this available?

Congrats,

The Coomptech catback looks just like the catback for the Acura RSX. The catback is available from www.eautoworks.com As far as how much it cost me to have it installed??? NOTHING...me and my friend Thom installed it the very day that I got it which was Thursday!!! I have noticed a tiny bit of power increase, but Im not gonna notice a significant amount of power increase until I add Header, and high flow cat to the equation!! But all in all it looks GREAT, SOUNDS GREAT, GREAT CONSTRUCTION & QUALITY, everything that you would expect from Comptech!!

Still waiting for Mugen and Spoon for their cat backs. What is the dimension of your comptech exhaust?

How noisy is it. I need something that does not exceed 90dB. Does it come with documentation on what the dB rating is?

K20ACTR

I believe it is lower than 90Db, Comptech has it listed on their website.

the tanabe CTR exhausts fit the Si, so I don't see why not

I installed my comptech exhaust today too and I love it! I couldn't be happier with this exhaust. The quality of the welding and steel is unbeatable. I had a Tanabe Racing Medallion on my last Si and it is way louder than the Comptech but the sound of the Comptech is very smooth, with a deep sound, it is a very clean sounding exhaust. No rice whatsoever!

Is it loud at low rpms? How about at high rpms?
Thanks.

K20ACTR
11-04-2002, 06:17 PM
Its actually quite mild at low rpm's and at about 4500 up to redline it starts to get a nice roar. Its not nearly as loud as Tanabe or Apex-i. The exhaust doesn't give you power as much as when you shift the power is right there again instead of lagging for a second waiting for power to build, the power is right there again once you shift. I would highly recommend this exhaust, simply for the craftsmanship that was put into it. The welds on it alone are worth it.

Did you get a chance to dyno your car yet?
How about a header?

K20ACTR
11-05-2002, 02:51 PM
I haven't had a chance to dyno my car yet, I'm waiting to see what internals I will need when I get a Type R head. I plan on getting the Comptech race header as well. Can anyone help me out with what internals I will need for the Type R head to work?
