F-ing Crutchfield failed to tell me the Metra dash kit for the Alpine HU I just ordered was on back-order until 5/24/04! So, I called up Scosche to see if their kit was available, and yup, it is, 20 bucks and in factory-match silver. It should be here early next week, but I'll post-up with my experiences after it gets here. Hopefully it's better than the Metra kit.

Yeah, it's very illogically-named:

http://www.scosche.com/

;)

Unfortunately, no picture of the kit, because it's new, according to the guy on the phone.

Got the kit today and took a couple of pics, pre-install. It looks pretty nice to me so far, but how it fits is the big question.

The lower compartment is black and has two slots for CDs, a nice touch.

I'll do the install tonight and post up pics tonoight or tomorrow.

nice kit now you just have to be careful not to scratch the it up when you install it. What model cd player are you installing?

but the metra kits and schose kits are the same
the metra kit has way more mounting options than the scosche
iso or cage mount
i have a 03 si and i use these kits daily

You seem to be contradicting yourself with these two statements.
