is this easy to do? my si the dealer says started with 5mm, now it's down to 1.5mm. i thought you just un-bolt one bolt on the caliper, lift up, change the pad, put everything back together...and repeat on the other side.? they want $109 parts/labor to do it

its not hard at all.

Here is a link to how to do it yourself (http://www.k-series.com/tech_detail.php?Tech_ID=EP_BRAKE_PADS)

$109 for the rear brakes is not bad...but I paid $110 for brake pads and did all four brakes myself. 20-30 min a brake pad.

as the pads get thinner...do they wear faster? the guy at honda this is what he's telling me.. i looked over my brake report the last time i came in for 15k service...it says 8mm rear when new, and i was at 6mm at the time i brought it in when the car was 6 1/2 months old. now they're telling me within 3 months, i wore the pads down 5mm...WTF?!

What kind of tool is needed to turn the rear brake piston so that it moves into the caliper? The K-series instructions did not specify.
