I've hit 130 when I was racing an old 1995 Z28. I hit 130 and it wouldn't go any further. That was with 3 people in the car if that makes any difference.

Wow - so you were actually running PAST the redline at 130? See - thats why this car isn't geared for continuous high speed driving. How did the engine sound at that point? Loud?

I was driving by myself going about 125 and the engine didn't have any more in it. I was going 125 for about a mile without any sign of acceleration. I also read somewhere that the very top speed is 125. Do you guys have mods done to your car that allows you to go faster?

Yikes you really shouldn't do that crap unless you're by yourself.

I read an article where some engineers drove a few of the new si's....they said their top speed was 134 and felt like it could go more. Not too sure about that claim, like "HondaCivicSi" said.....125mph is the max, thats what it feels like to me. Hopefully with mods they will allow you to go faster.

Yeah I know, but they were the ones telling me to race the guy. I didn't really want to. I'm not too fond of street racing anymore.

Lets no forget the basic "size of tire" arguement. How much do you think we can add with larger than stock tires?

Re 150 MPH

It isn't my picture, it's just one off the UK CTR site...

I have had an indicated 125 in fifth and it was still pulling hard... :p

Very smooth at that speed and rock steady. You wouldn't know that you were doing it, unless you look at the speedo :D
