Just out of curiousity. I got mine almost 2 months ago, so I probably have the most. :) I have a big whopping 3,500 miles on mine! Oh well, it's made for driving and it's fun as hell!

775 miles on mine. I've had it for about a month. I go to work which is 3 miles away, then go home. On the weekends we cruise a bit (my gf and I) but not much. I wanna keep the engine nice and fresh for when i put on the Miyagi Turbo-Pro turbocyclone supercharger blower alternator.

Should be sweet.

Guess I'm the only one here with KM's on my car. Why is it that the U.S. is not metric yet????

I have 1900 KM's after about 5 weeks with the car. Now in miles this means about 1200 miles.

Guess I don't drive it enough, but I will be taking the car to North Carolina in September to visit family. I may even go to San Fransisco to visit an old friend, this should put some km's on my baby.

I've had mine since Tuesday, 3 whole days!
I've got about 250 miles so far, cant wait till break-in is over!

The US isn't metric b/c we are stuborn and don't like changes. I can remember all through elementary and high school the teachers telling us that we would have to know the metric system because in a few years everyone would be using it. Well that didn't happen. The two systems can sure make life difficult, especially all those science/egineering classes in college where we had to convert between the two.

Yea, I remember my teachers saying that too. I think they were just trying to get us to cooperate in learning the conversions.

i've had mine since March, and I've got 3200 miles on it now.. I did an oil change at 2800 miles.. I went to honda, bought the oil and the filter and did it myself.. I think the manufactuer contracts he-man to put the factory filter.. .It was tight as hell.... lol

My dealer told me not to change the oil until i have over 5000 miles on it. He said it was some kind of "break in" oil. I bought mine in April and have about 4300 on it.

I've had nothing but excellent comments on my 2002 SiR. Of course, some people are jealous so I did have 3 stupid comments:

- Is that the new Focus SVT, looks like a Focus.
- Looks pretty good for a Civic.
- and of course, one person did say, nice minivan

Overall though, I've gotten over 50 positive comments, and the odd person giving me the thumbs up while driving, now they are my favourite compliments.

Most of my comments have been related to not having seen any new Si's yet. However, since I took my badgng off, the comments have almost completely stopped. I guess that's something to note if you are debating on taking 'em off. I think I'll let my car speak for itself once I get all of the right parts. As you put on those miles, how much attention do you really want?

I just used a blow dryer to make the adhesive loosen up. It was not as easy as the i-vtec decals, but as long as you have patience they'll come off clean. I put a coat of wax on afterwards and it looked great! You may be able to keep the badges intact, but don't plan on it. I would have put pics up already, but my digital camera just broke and I don't have a scanner. I'll have some pics up ASAP.

SiCivic2k2
06-18-2002, 02:09 PM
I used hot water from the faucet. Poured it on the decal and then took dental floss behind it. Like he said, you probably won't be able to keep it intact. The decal itself will come off, but it will probably leave the adhesive on the car still. I just took some Goo Gone and it came right off. Then I waxed that area.

02TafWhtSi
06-18-2002, 07:24 PM
yeah - i really hate those i-vtec decals. For some reason they dont look bad on the 99-00 but on ours they look crooked, oversized and out of place. Honda should just give em' to the owner and let us put them on!;)

Yeah.....like a model kit or something. I they're muc bigger on the EP's though, so that might have something to do with it. Plus, we don't have as much molding on the sides of our cars...
