I read from some website that HID bulbs last as long as a car. I'm pretty skeptical and don't buy it, but I wanted to hear from you guys with HID kits. What did you buy and did you get pulled over after installing them on your car?

Thanx

HID bulbs usually are rated at about 3000 hours of usage...if you read somewhere anymore than that they're just bullshitting you. I've had 8000K HIDs in my car for i'd say...like...8 months or so....no problems yet (knock on wood)

4100k Acura CL Type-S stock HIDs left, McCullochs 8000K HID on 03 Si on the right.

10,000k on the left, 8,000k on the right (just for demo purposes, i dont drive the car like that)

I have had my HID kit for about 7 or 8 months now and have had no problems. As for being pulled over that has not happened yet. Though I have stock headlights with the reflector plate still on. Now if you look at Type-X's HID"s they look alot brighter because he has JDM headlights w/ not cover and I'll tell you he gets his balls busted here in NYC.
