RP Racing 21 is AWESOME for the tranny

I changed the tranny fluid with Royal Purple Racing 21 and it is alot better than the Honda MTF stuff. It feels as though gear change is alot smoother and the occational 2nd gear grind is is almost gone and it grinds less hard.

Our tranny takes 1.6 qts so buy 2 bottles. Any questions, I can help.

Just wondering do you need a pump to fill the trans or can you just get in there easy with the bottle?

They sell nifty little pumps at most auto stores for less than $5. Its impossible to get a bottle or funnel in there.

you have to get UNDER the car, and make sure it is LEVEL....

and you need a big colck gun looking thing to insert the tranny fluid..

i used a huge plastic bendy straw and a funnel. not a drinking straw, it is much larger.

You can buy a funnel with a tube connected to it at your autoparts store. Stuff the tube inside your fill plug and fill it untill some start coming out. Wait untill it stoops streaming and re plug it. Driping is okay. It is easier to do with 4 jack stands but can be done without.

I can change my tranny fluid in about 15 min without any stands.

After how many miles we have to change the tranny fluid???

I believe the manual says to change it 60K or 30k. One or the other but I change mine every 15K because I love to take care of my car. They also say to change the oil every 8K but I do it every 3K.

UPDATE:

The car is getting smoother and smoother as I drive it. It feels awesome and for some reason, the car drives better with the A/C on than before.
