Ive got a 02 Alpine White EP3 with only 4,000 original miles on her. It was suppose to be my project car. But i have another project to work on. Its completely clean, no dents or anything.. pratically brand new.. considering that it only has 4,000 miles. Im trying to get the most i can. Maybe i can advertise to someone who needs a new EP3 w/o going through the dealers and not having to pay tax and license.

put it in the paper, i have sold lots of cars like that and they have all sold quick. you are prob. looking at around 13-14k for your car. the trouble with the ep3 is the dealers are even having trouble selling them at 2-3k less than sticker. btw, whats your new project?

You ask for peoples opinion, then you diss it? Brilliant.

Only an idiot would pay 16K for a 30K miles Si, when you can get a
BRAND NEW Si off a dealers' lot for 16K. Listen to brian1g,
or better yet, try kbb.com or edmunds.com and see what your car is
worth.

NADA value on your car is $14,700. This is the tool I use at work (fleet bank) to determine the cars value when looking to secure a lien against it. Finding someone else to pay that much is a different story. Cash price on my brand new 02 in oct. of 03 was $15k from a local dealer. Good luck.

anyways.. what happen to tax, license, and registration when buying from the dealers? Cause i bought my car 19k out the door. Im gonna put up an ad for 16k for my car. Hopefully somebody would buy it.. eer..

btw my new project is a FI S2k. Kit from inline pro running on a full EMS.

say sparkle, you should have seen my face when i looked at my county property tax statement and my ep had a value of $12500 :'( . then again location has alot to do with vehicle value and i live in the texas panhandle, not exactly a high demand for modified import cars. good luck on the ep3 and post some pics of that s2k if you have any.

I would put it in the paper for $15K, but the car is really only worth $12K maybe $13K if you are lucky.

How much warranty is left (time wise)? Make sure you mention that when selling if there is a good deal of months left on the 3 yr/36k factory warranty.

Another data point: I bought a new '03 with 201 miles on it Feb 28 of this year for $15,800 (not including tax, title and license though those costs were minimal due to a trade and plate transfer). I almost bought a 2002 with 13,500 miles on it with 2 years of warranty left for $12,500 from a local dealer around the same time.

Good luck!

I purchased my 02' Si with 20k miles on it for 12k flat and the remaining balance from my 99 GS-t that decided it wanted to explode.

You lose an instant 2000 off the lot. and they are selling them for 17000. Sounds like your car is in great shape and maby someone will grab it up. Most likely you will need to just cut your loses and move on to the s2k. You had a brand new project civic si, and now a s2k? why do you care if its 16000 or 14000 sounds like you could afford it. Whats your daily driver?

I'd sell my 02 si with everything as it sits
for 16,000 :D

Man you have no idea how i would want to live in texas. The highest octane we get in cali is 91 and its $2.20 per gallon. And dont get me started on our emissions law.

i paid less than 16k out the door. no way ep's with 30k miles on it will sell for that much.

Those are pretty good considering what Kelly Blue Book says. Really hard to get rid of the EP's here, alot of folks know about the horrible re-sale. And hard to compete with the dealers low prices for brand new ones.

Then again, no matter what. You have to find someone willing to buy it at that price. Until then it is only worth what you think of it :(

forreal, they don't come in alpine white...

also sparkle, i got mine for 16,400 before tax, license and financing...so are you sure you can get so much for a used???

i understand you feel you ep is worth that much, but thats sentimental value, not market value. i'm pretty sure you took care of your car and everything, thats why you feel your car is worth that much, but the potential buyer doesn't care about that, they only care about the fair market value.

you need to understand that whenever you sell a car to the public, you are going to take a loss; why would a buyer pay the same price for a used car when they can get a new car.
