I just got off the phone with one of the tire places in the area and they stated to me that the Falken Azenis is strickly a Race tire..

205/50/16-That is what I am lookin for.

Are the Falken's good Daily drivers?

Azenis are fine for daily driving. Only complaints I ever hear about
them is that they don't last all that long (compared to a harder tire)
and that they throw up a lot of little rocks/dirt b/c they are so sticky.

Just head to tirerack.com or discounttiredirect.com and price out some
tires. They also have reviews on those sites, you can see what other
people who bought tires thought of them.

I use them all the time they are dot approved. But I warn you they will stick so good that you will get addicted to flying through corners and wear them out pretty quick.

Anyone know anything about Yokohama AVsES100 or the Bridgestone Potenza RE950?

not to hi-jack his thread but what would be the optimal size on the stock rims ?? i personally think 195/60/15 is too thin.. i was thinking 205/55/15s ?? would that be suitable for our stock rims ??

They are not terrible in the rain, As a matter of fact they are the best tires I've ever driven on in the rain. but they will hydroplane in standing water but no more than your average tire

average tires, such as our stock michilens have many tread grooves to tread water, whereas the azenis have barley any grooves and are just large blocks of tread.

Even with those grooves, all weather can still hydoplane. Though I wouldn't drive Azenis during heavy rain, I wouldn't worry about light rain.

yokohama AVS ES 100s ... thumbs up from me. Kumho Ecsta 712s aren't too shabby either, and inexpensive. Kumho Ecsta MXs are on par as far as being sticky as the Azenis, but have a better tread design for wet traction.

Agree, great on wet surface, even better on dry. No problems with mine. Stay away from Yokohama Spec 2. It's a POS when its on wet surface. Doesn't grip as much as I want it to. To me, they seem like bald tires when I'm in the rain. However, the Spec 2 are GREAT on dry surfaces. Anyhow, go with the Yoko AVS ES100

I have Goodyear F1 GSD3. Ive been using them for almost 8 months now and so far these are the best tires I ever had for daily driving.
