It seems since I installed my Eibach Sportlines that the rears clunk over bumps or road transitions. Is this normal with the sportlines? I kinda think it's normal since we torqued all of the bolts to spec, so there should not be problems.

Also, I'm running the stock shocks and i figure with the sportlines installed the stock shocks are compressed more than they would be with the stock springs.. Maybe that's the cause of the clunks?

Besides this minor issue, the sportlines are awesome!

Ideas? Anyone have this problem?

Mine do it too. I think the upper spring hat needs to be greased.

did you tighten the locking nut on the top (the actual shock shaft, 14mm box wrench & 4mm hex) because of the lower travel it's got to be tightened al the way. also did you switch out the rear bumpstops w/the ones eibach supplied? ie-> could the noice be the rear bottoming out? also lube the upper mounts where the spring meets the rubber.

03silverEP:

Yup, tightened to spec, installed the new bump stops..

mine make no noise. I have stock shocks. I used stock bump stops not the new ones that came in the box.

I doubt these noises have anything to do with the bump stops because I've never bottomed out. The noise only occurs over small bumps, for instance, when I'm on a bad road.

not sayin it does - just being thurough in the description of my setup.

esmith13: Gotcha. I wonder what it is.. I doubt it's a big deal but it bugs me a bit every so often.
