I connected a snapon scantool to my car today in generic obd2 settings to get some data, and i was testing my map sensor. What was weird is that during idle it showed my engine load to be at 30% i was wondering if changing of the intake to aem cai would change that or not. Because the engine load should be 0 at idle. If anybody else has access to a scantool and can check their engine load at idle for me to see if you get 30% too or 0% it'd be great. Thanks

I just hooked up a scan tool to a Lexus suv
and it said 19%
So 30% sounds about right

thanks, thats kind of weird though, my teacher said the load should be 0% since the engine is just idling
heat/air condition on? or anything else on?

Yup mine says the same thing. 29-31% during idle. 45-50% on the freeway in top gear and 98% at WOT :)
