Going on a road trip to pick up my complete RSX Type-S 5 lug swap with Type-S wheels/tires this weekend. I cant wait! Not sure when I'm gonna do the install since I just got new tires for my 17s with are 4X100. I'll keep you guys posted. So excited for this, considering I've been searching for the swap forever.

Your going to love the TYPE-S front brakes. I drove a "stock brake equipt" EP today after I installed Mugen Suspennsion on it and really noticed a difference from mine with the S brakes, even with stock pads. I guess you 04 guys are still missing out. :p lol j/k

I read somewhere that there was a wheel problem.. or some sort of problem when swapping with Type-S 5 lugs. So I'm considering doing a swap from a CTR or 04 Si.

What parts do I need, specifically? And where can I find them? I've been searching some forums but it's difficult to find CTR and 04 Si 5 lugs swaps for sale. And I don't know where to look or what to ask at junkyards.

Yo.. again.. can you directly swap a RSX type s brakes and rotors?

That was mine. :D

Maybe I'll do pads and/or rotors this fall.

Pads and better fluid would be a good start. Rotors aren't worth it unless they are thicker or bigger. Getting cross drilled or slotted in stock size, is not worth it.

I gotta agree about the pads & fluids -- I trust your word. I should probably start with those, and when the pads get worn down, maybe I'll start shopping for brake kits that'll fit inside these wheels.

See I think that is wrong. I dropve vtecnrg 200hp+ ep3 a month ago (thanks mark), and noticed the 100 to 0 stopping time was rediculous compared to my stock break system ep3. His brake mods: cross drilled rotors only, stock everything else. I noticed a WORLD of difference. Also, look at the Greddy super ep3, all they did was swap the pads, and that car is retarded fast.

Your saying that this guy only replaced the stock rotors for cross drilled and didn't install new pads? Just curious what wheels and tires he had compared to yours. Another key factor to think about if different.

Now for the GReddy EP3, yes, changing pads will show a difference in braking. Even if they did different rotors that are the same size. The pad the the key ingredient there. If they did larger rotors, that is a different story.
