It says that TODA engine parts (i.e. engine kit) will work for the TypeR, but will it also work on the Si? its the same engine isnt it??

Any info? thanks a bunch

nope, different heads. rocker arms will not line up with the cam lobes.

alright, but what if you did this: the parts are available for RSX TypeS also, could you order the parts for the TypeS and then drop them into the Si??

again, nope.

the K20A3 (Si/base RSX engine) has a different form of VTEC. under 2200 rpms, it operates essentially as a 12-valve engine, opening only one intake valve fully. there is no VTEC mechanism on the exhaust cam (read only one cam lobe).

the K20A2 (RSX-S) and K20A1 (CTR) have full-blown VTEC, meaning two lobes on the intake and exhaust camshafts.

By chance sending in the ECU to TODA for reprograming, or a complete new reflashed ECU with the immobilizer disabled from TODA, would do anything either? or is it just a lost cause:(

i think what tt12 is tryin to say is
can u take the internal from a type-s an install them in the k20a3 head uing the k20a3 sprackets. maybe even a lil port and polish
