I have a Neuspeed SS

Pros:
-shorter throw (well no $hit huh) but no ridiculously short
-easy to install (10 min)
-quality from Neuspeed that you expect

Cons:
-brand new it cost way too much

naw other people make em for our car to arospeed and another one but not for sure. but you get what you pay for and id rather rely on neuspeed than anyone else for our short shifter

Is the Nuespeed shifter an actual short shifter or just an adapter?

I read a post a while back that somebody said DC Sports made one for our car, but I've yet to find a place that has it. Maybe someone knows?

Just trying to clarify a few things:

As far as I've read and know Neuspeed is the only company that makes one. 2 other members have purchased the Arospeed and DC only to find out they wwere listed wrong and only made for the coupe.

Def worth the money. I believe Tornactive (vendor) still has them for $89.00. Install time is no more than 15 minutes.

Revo and Buddy Club both make one.

No thanks then. I'll wait till someone makes a true short shifter.

Why? The adaptors are cheaper and easy to install and take out if needed

You're right, adapters are cheap. They feel clunky, wear easily and don't perform half as well as a true short shifter.

on some of the past posts people were saying there wasn't that noticeable difference from stock.

The neuspeed shifter (adapter) is great, feels great and I doubt I will have any problems. If you were see an install, you would understand. The way it is designed is fine. If you were to install it with the aluminum bushings, it would feel like a different car. IMO the "true" short shifter is just an excuse to charge more money. I mean come on, we aren't all bears on the shift are we? Don't try to rip it out of the dash and you'll be fine.

It may feel a bit better than stock, but once a true short shifter is designed and you drive an EP with it, you will definately notice the difference. If you are happy with it, that's fine, i'll wait till the best is released.

The Neuspeed is much better than stock. If you were to open up your dash you would probably realize how it would be difficult to R&D a true drop in SS. It isn't like a basic SS that will lower the linkage arm in order to get a different point of travel. The EP's shifter operates off of wires/arms.

Never said it would be easy, or cheap once done, but I will pay the extra for a true.
