Well, I now have the option of taking two different paths.
First off, I expect the decisions will be more biased to the EP choice, but please try to give me your honest opinions.

RSX type-S (used of course)...or...JDM K20a Integra Type-R motor swap into EP3...

I would also say go for the swap. I would love to get a k20a in my si, but how in the world would you pass emissions?

Why not go for a EP3 with a K20A2 swap? It's much cheaper and easier to do.

Yes, and still keeps you emissions friendly and you don't need a higher than 91 octane ;)

i would say type-s just because you'll have the A2, and it's a better performer off the bat. but, check the your insurance rates before you buy if your gonna be penny pinching after the purchase. fyi, there is a type-s for sale at scott robinson honda in torrance for 17k. i didn't check the miles though. usually, i see dealerships slanging them fro 20-22k. good luck mang.

Thanks for all your help guys...first off, the a2 swap isn't something I want to do...not enough power...I don't plan to mod the motor for a while, so the k20a is a better choice for me...the insurance believe it or not is $697 a month(thats the cheapest quote I got and I went through 4 different companys), not every six months, a month for the type-s, so I'm sorta' shying away from the type-s...

I'd say the best bang for the buck, is to ride a mountain bike or other type of manual cycles. I mean, c'mon... watch out for gas prices no more! :-)

K20A(2) means HIGHEST OCTANE OF GAS!

:D

Say, "good bye money and good bye trees"

*FLAME ON!*

whoa! is that a typo? $697/month for insurance? Thats $8364 / year. nah, that can't be right. what's your driving record like? hahaha.

swap the engine... the rsx look so friggin nice, and is a fun drive, but the ep drives so much better... imagine rsx type-s or type-r power with the handling capabilities of the ep...

the K20a would give you the most power, but the whole legality of it all makes me say go with the A2.

either way a swap F*cks the resale value of your car unless you find the perfect enthusist to buy it. So are you looking for a long term project car, then swap... if you are looking for some easy horsepower and will be wanting something new in a year or two get the TypeS.

if YOU pay over $8K a year in insurance, you need to get a bus pass...

If the P's help you out, then thank them every day and consider yourself one lucky S.O.B.

My parents made me pay every single cent of my insurance, all $95 a month for my first car!!;) (currently $195 a month for 20y/o on the EP3)

I'm sorry, but if the K20A2 isn't enough power in your EP then you are definately looking at the wrong cars.

what i ment to say is its not enough "stock" power...the motor would be stock for one hell of a long time...also, if i got the type-s...it would be stock for ever...and i didn't knwo the EP handles better than the Type-s...I think i might be leaning towards a swap...

If the A2 swap doesn't have enough stock power then what is the point of getting the type-s? it is the same engine, unless you ment the A3 doesn't have enough HP. either way, I think a A2 swap will be the choice. Keep the uniqueness of the ep3 =)

the point is if i got the type-s...my days of modding a car would be over...so it would be stock too...and if i would swap the motor into the EP...then all my money would still be dumped into my car and i would continue with this hobby i so love...

Get the RSX-S, you will have a factory installed powerplant (more reliable) and then give the top end a full Toda kit ;), 40 hp over stock N/A

then you made your decision. i understand what yours saying and agree with the ep3 then.
