i heard about it. it supposed to give you 15-20 horsepower and better gas mileage. Sounds good but i doubt it works.

It doesn't work, there's been tests done on the 'net. All a ploy to get your $$.

roflmao they say gains of 0-35 and 0-20% better gas mileage. that makes it legal since they put 0

One of these and a new electric supercharger, damn watch out. When they show you a "dyno chart" ask what gear they're in.

in short dont buy it! ITS GARBAGE!

Local news channel here (chnl 3) did a test a "3 on your side" test, and they did so with a professor at some college they basically lost MPG and lost horsepower. --joe:)

From what I've read, part of what i-Vtec does is a built-in tornado effect-- closing off certain valves and obstructing some of the intake runners to create a turbulent environment that allows better mileage at idle-to-lower RPMS. that saves gas.

Honda has always been ahead of the game at creating the proper turbulences to effectively mix air and fuel in thier engines...check out the history of the Civic on the Edmunds link from the ephatch home page. 'Civic' comes from CVCC, a clever technology that capitalizes on air-fuel turbulence and theory.

In short, I think if there are any cars that need help with AF mixing they most likely arent ours. Maybe the Tornado is more effective for the Toronado than the Civic...if at all.

There have been versions of this around since the '50's- some scams just never die!
