Question about type R spoiler

can anyone tell me the differences btw a replica and a real type R spoiler??

replica is made out f fiberglass.. its cheaper and most of them now are a direct bolt up..they run about 200 ish..and some have the 3rd brake light

the real deal typeR wing is poly urathane and comes factory painted. they run about $750 and they have to be modded to fit the USDM hatch..and has the LED 3rd brake light

agreed, it's $200 for a fiberglass Renova wing plus $100 for paint

$300 for a Spoiler Depot wing inc. paint & it's fiber


or $368 for a real Honda urathane wing w/OEM quality paint and fitment, yup


only reason not to get the real one is if you want CF, the CF CTR wings are $299 from showstoppers

well if you get lucky like i did i got a brand new renova wing straight from renova for $80 and paint cost me $120..

i see... thanks guyz....cos my frd just gave me a wing for free...I am wondering if it is a JDM or a replica...the JDM one should haf a honda logo on its brake light right??

Why doesn't the JDM one fit on USDM models? What do you need to make it fit?

you need to cut a little off the sides...it fits...but it just sticks out a little...so when you cut the area off...it makes the spolier flush

cuz honda is stupid and they like making things that fit their cars only. showstoppersusa.com has the renova spolier...i didn't even mod mine,,i just threw it on and drilled an extra hole for the wire for the LED
