So I'm thinking of painting my calipers. I've done it on my TSi, my Type R and it's always worked well. I have a silver ep with the HFP/GFX kit. Stock rims for now. Which colour?

Red like the red in the CTR "H" on the CTR back hatch.

Bare nekkid zinc plating. :D

I wouldn't paint stock calipers, but that's just me. I'd probably go with either red or silver, or maybe black.

i think red is the best, Just today i painted mine red and it looks ballin, surprised me how good it looked, but i have an all black ep. I once saw a sicke silver ep with black calipers that looked sick too

Silver.. newer stock hondas have silver painted/coated calipers and I think it looks super clean and not ricey at all. Some people think red is stupid unless they are upgraded brakes but hey.. whatever makes the owner happy.

black or silver if you can keep it clean. red is kinda cliche, everyone does it, and its easy for it to end up looking like poo.

Good aftermarket calipers come painted. Leave the stock calipers alone, what did they do to you? lol :cool:

As my own personal opinion, and I posted this a few years ago, painting stock calipers seems a little ricey to me. I hate seeing tiny calipers painted bright ass red.

Red = Brembo, Rotora, etc...

Black or Zinc coated would be satisfactory. I'd only consider red if I were purchasing some Stoptechs or something along that line.

I always thought red was the best color for brakes

It is, if they're bought that way.

Red would definitely get my vote. I love the silver vette Z06 with the red calipers.

lol this thread is four years old.

i painted my calipers red, but after four years i either need a couple new coats, or an entirely new color (gold or black...)
