Well, my gas gage has been a little off since last year. I changed all my gage bulbs with red LED's and had to remove the needles at one point. What I am hoping a fellow member can do is take a pic of the gage/needle right when you fill up the tank to the top (topped off if possible). My gas gage is slightly off and I need something to calibrate it to. I need a good 2 or 3 pics if someone can hook a brutha up :D .

Thanks!

Mel, I just filled up yesterday and there was a needle width gap between the last tick on the gauge and where the needle lay. HTH, ill try and snap a couple pics after work.

I wanna help, but my car will never be full tank anymore. Driving on half tank to save on gas, heheh. That's 30 lbs lighter. So... it's the thought that counts that I wanna help? ;)

??? if you use a half a tank of gas you are refilling that half tank more frequently than a full tank. you certainly are not spending more money but i don't see where you would be saving money.
I could swear your statement was on Dave Letterman's 10 ten list for saving gas

he's saying that since the car is lighter, it requires less power to move the same distance, thus he uses less gas (in theory) but 30lbs means nothing, you'll save maybe 25 cents a week, which to me is not worth the added inconvenience of having to fill up twice as often

yes, that's what I mean, lighter car = less gas to power. Well, 30 lbs aint nothing, but after adding stuff here and there, it makes a difference. So far I took out 80 lbs or so, didn't take out the rear seats. I added back 60 lbs worth of suspension bars back in though. =( So far, 20 lbs from stuff I took out and 30 lbs from running on half tank.

Filling the gas more often isn't a biggie to me. Before I jump on the freeway, the gas station is there. Either to, or from work.
