Hey all, I had a question about the aluminum shifter bushings...

Right now, whenever I rev hard and shift from 1st to 2nd anywhere past 6k RPM, I grind the gears. I have my foot all the way to the floor on the clutch and I still have this problem. I was wondering, will the aluminum shifter bushings that I am getting going to help with this grind?

Also, could someone please elaborate a bit on what people say when they talk about the shifts being "more precise?" Maybe could someone compare and explaing shifting before and after the aluminum bushings? Thanks.

The bushing wont help with your "grind" problem, get your local dealer to chech that out. K your shifter assembley is mounted on 4 rubber bushings that allow the entire piece to flex, when your car is in gear you should still be able to move the shifter up a bit more when in 1st 3rd and 5th and down a bit more when in 2nd and 4th. With the shifter bushings installed the flex is almost eliminated, so when your shifter is in gear it cannot travel any futher.
