Is Tinting car windows done the same way everywhere? What is the best way to tint car windows? Is film good or bad? Thanks!

Yea I would say its done the same way everywhere. Film is good but getting it off is a bitch.

definitely done the same way, but there are also differences between films. some wont fade as fast as others.

Which films are the best? Which fade the slowest? Can tinting fim be applied all the way to the edge of the top of the window?

some are dyed dark, others have metal in the tint. have you ever seen an older car w/purple windows...that's an older tint job w/the dyed stuff, the metal stuff won't do that. they installer has to cut a few mm. off the top so it will not come off when the windows are rolled up. prices $150-$300 depending on the shop, size of car, and grade of tint used. oh, and don't roll your windows down for 2-3 days after tinting (less in summer) as it needs to cure, basically park it in the sun for a day.
