I've been looking at those tires as a possible follow up to my NeoGens. I think about 80% of the folks w/ 17"s use a 215/45 tire. I do and I got Progress Springs, which brought my car down about 2.5". As for clearance, I can't get a pinky in the back and MAYBE a finger in the front and I don't rub at all. No camber adjusment made in the rear either.
