Well I Finally went ahead and did an LED swap on my gauges and Dash. I hated the amber so much - reminded me of hell. So i went with a much more tranquil color of blue. I used 20 5 mm LEDS on the gauges and 9 in the dash. No resistors. 4 LEDS in series across the stock bulb location. They've been done for about a month and a half now without any problems. I run them at about half juice - but can go all the way up if want them REALLY bright. Any way im thinking about doing the needles in green, Ive never seen grn & blu but I think it would look sweet. Anyway heres a pic of my creation - it really does not do the gauges justice thay are so blue and vibrant in real life - but you'll get the idea

looks good, i wish someone would do mines, so I can swap the amber to red, heheh.

they made it amber for a reason, it's easier on the eyes they said.

bah, thats only true for old fart's who can't see anyways. my mom's beetle has purple/red lights and i don't consider it "hard" on the eyes at all. it's all b.s. to me.

that does look really good!

but do you guys forget that all the older civics came w/white-green dash lights and peeps would spend $$ to get the amber gauges and dash pieces, we have that factory w/the dx-ex having the green dash

Does it class with the stock head unit?

I have an aftermarket radio that is blue also, but I would have taken the stock headunit apart and done it in blue also if i believed in stock stereos
