Does anyone know for sure if there is a difference in the European CTR lights and the Japanese CTR lights? Most of the Type-R pics I have seen are European and the headlamps just do not look black. Even European CTR owners have said they are barely tinted. But I have seen some CTR pics with lights that are undeniably black. I have posted about this before, and never got a real answer. And don't say just paint them :)

I also would like to know, does anyone have a picture of the type R lights. Are they simular the the jdm WRX lights, a smoked type, not painted, almost a black chrome.

Ok. Here are pics to prove my question.

Stock EK headlamps- CHROME

JDM EK headlamps- obviously BLACK

Stock EP headlamps- CHROME

JDM EP headlamps-obviously BLACK

Other CTR EP headlamps- slightly tinted black

ACtually STANDARD Headlights that will fit directlyy on an SI and use same lights only come in ONE color which is the Tinted chrome.... These are the lights we have on our car as you can see they are not VERY dark but you can notice the difference.....

The BLACK chrome ones are the headlights that are only for the HID equiped vehicles

One thing to take note of Honda HID's do not use a standard socket for the bulb so no US bulbs (H3,H4,9004,9005,9006,9007.... ) will fit into the system.

If you want to custom fit a bulb into the housing it may be possible......

If you want to purchase either of the lights please feel free to contact us.

We can also get you the Headlights WITH the HID's if you want but it will be costly to obtain factory HID's....

Thank you for finally clearing this up. What is your price on the lights shipped to Ohio, 45005?
