Because someone jacked up...i have to repost this...jk. Hope this install is helpful...i recommend everyone the progress rear sway bar/tie bar combo...you can pick it up at www.ShowStoppersUSA.com or call them up at 818-243-0954. Thanks Chuck/Rocky for the hook up.

Tools Required:
Jack
2x Jack stands
12mm socket
13mm socket
17mm socket
19mm socket
5mm allen wrench
14mm combo wrench
Rubber mallet (rubber hammer)

First...jack the car up...i chose the rear tow hook...make sure the ebrake is up

Support the car on jack stands...no jack stands...don't work on it
http://revrcshop.com/progress_install/progressinstall02.jpg
Once jacked up, you'll see 6 bolts that your going to have to undo...the blue dots are 12mm, and the red dots are 17mm

http://revrcshop.com/progress_install/progressinstall03.jpg
stick the 5mm allen wrench in to the sway bar end link and use the 14mm combo wrench to take the nut off. If you have some PB Blaster, it helps. YOU MUST HAVE THE 5MM WRENCH OR YOU'LL BE SITTING THERE FOREVER PLUS EXACTLY ONE DAY.

Lube up the D-bushing that they give you...use the lube they provide or your own...you dirty bastards...i'm talking about the lube you buy at the autoparts store...

Here's the order of the bolt, washer and spacer. This bolt will go into the lower suspension arm. you will need your 19mm socket to tighten the bolt.

http://revrcshop.com/progress_install/progressinstall06.jpg
use the jack to get the rear arm up to get the holes to line up...use a crow bar or any thick metal bar to help line up the holes...

http://revrcshop.com/progress_install/progressinstall07.jpg
Here's the order of the washers...note, small washer on the outside...big washer on the inside... This is where you'll need your 13mm socket to tighten the bolts

Here's the bar installed and all the bolts tightened.. notice how the bar bends. make sure it bends this way or else you'll have 1, a jacked up sway bar, 2, a jacked up suspension arm. either way it'll suck

kick back, and have some kool-aid with the homies...doesn't it look sooooooooooooooooo sexy?

How much was that? I'm currently looking into that mod.

I'm going either with the Progress setup or with the JDM CTR 22mm. I want the JDM since it's easier to install and cheaper.

if you get the progress...you get the sub frame support/tie bar. i believe showstoppers has them for $165 shipped.

I've heard of people installing this bar upsidedown/backwards but still can't understand how that happens. Good writeup and great pics btw!

there's an interchange that i usually take every now and then... The sign says 55mph...i used to only do 80-85 on it...the other day...i did 100 on it with ease... get an idea how much this sucka helps?

as far as installing the bar backwards...it happens...i did it backwards the first time...you can tell totally cuz the lower suspension arm starts to hit the sway bar...not starts...but it just hits the sway bar :)

i think this is how ALL DIY installs or whatever should be done. lots of GOOD pics...things get confusing sometimes...i would have taken more but i got lazy taking off my gloves and snaping pics then working on the car, then taking the gloves off again...blah

hey vividpearl, where the hell does that d-bushing go on the sway bar?...or does it go onto something else?

This is by far one of the best Suspensions mods you can get (IMHO). with the front and rear sways, your car will handle like a champ. They are not too hard to put in, with a write up like this, you can easily do this in a couple of hours. Just do it in a flat area, and don't rush it.

This is one of those mods where you just feel right from day 1.

oh yeah ....

I GOT MY FRONT AND REAR FROM SHOWSTOPPERS, IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS MOD, BUY IT FROM SHOWSTOPPERS!!!!

the D bushings go INSIDE the metal rings on the sway bar. from there there's a U type clamp that holds it down on to the sub-frame support

Yes inside the metal rings, There is only one way it can go on really.
