well igot the numbers and my payment was going to be 365 for 4 years with the extended warrenty for the 2002 focus svt. but than i thought..... trade a honda for a ford? what did someone put in my drink. so i said imma have to pass. and now im off to the bank monday to refinance my civic. what kind of crazy gibberish was i thinking . next time if i think about doing something like this , please slap me.

yah they do set you back in the seat man but theres not nearly as much room for modifying them like the si. and *in my opinion* the si is freaking beautiful. and the focus svt done has a couple recalls out for 2002 . and none for the 02-04 civic si.

alright ill admit the 87 carborated civic isnt the fastest and when i replaced the head gasket i left a few vacuum lines undone! but when all 4 cylinders kick on it runs with the best of the best in the geo world!

its fun driving that old civic cause ill be maxed out at 40 and than another cylinder will kick in and it'll get upto 60 and than the final one and it got upto 70 and than like 2 would cut out and drop back down to 40 .... man that car has some issues... so you could say when the cylinders kicked in it was like a shot of nitrous!

what are you talking about?? someone was comparing the svt focus to the ctr ... i just mention that was a incorrect comparison. and i was referring to the turbocharged focus that is currently out. and i don't think there is a v8 focus coming out ... ati did develop a focus(terminator) that had the cobra supercharged 4.6 in it. but its not going into production.

Amen, brother... Amen. Most of those ripping the Focus SVT have never sat in one, let alone driven one in anger. The SVT is a fine automobile, as is the bog-standard Focus, esp. now that the (admittedly once considerable) reliability issues have been quelled. In fact, dare I say it a ZX4 is a much better car to drive than a standard Civic DX/LX/EX. Of course, resale value and reliability favor the Honda, so I understand taking one on those grounds, but from a performance standpoint, I'd rather have the Blue Oval, no question.

FWIW: I firmly believe that badge snobbery and brand loyalty are useless concepts that propogate bad vehicles and warrantless boasting. Just buy the best vehicle that you can afford that suits your needs the best. If that's a Honda, that's dandy. If it happens to be a Hyundai, bully for you as well.

focus rs is one mean looking car and i do believe for a small fee of 16 000$ you can transform your zx4 into a rear wheel drive focus with a 4.6 liter supercharged. but if were gonna rate the focus rs vs a civic it'd be the jdm ctr not the uk ctr which would achually be a good race , and i didnt know the rs was awd?

actually ati said that to recreate the terminator focus would be around $65,000 (which i'm pretty sure includes the price of the car). think about it, you have to get the cobra's engine and tranny fitted into a focus. then you have to make the focus rwd which requires numerous custom parts. you will have custom exhaust work to do. the suspension has to be completely redid in order to handle the torque. and then the brakes are going to need to be upgrade. not to mention all the electrical work that would be need as well.

and the current rs is fwd, but they have developed an awd version.
