Hello everyone!!

I remember that a long time ago I read a thread for a custom garage opener on the blank spot of next to the shifter (where most people are reposisioning the hazards lights when you install an OEM Start Engine button). I don't remember who did it but I wanted to know and see the schematics on how it works because I would love to do this.

Yes, I've searched high and low and I've gotten nothing.

Sweet... Looks simple! Cant wait to try.

*where do you put the actual opener?* (im aware it could be mounted just about anywhere, just wondering where others have mounted it?)

theres mine. i wired it a little different. just find the two wires in the board comin off the button. solder into that. you can test them easy with as jumper wire. just touch the two together until you find the one that opens the door :) then when people asl what the button is for you just say dont worry about it, and they get all worried.

my friend has an rsx and he hooked it up so that when he flashes his high beams the garage door opens/closes. I watched him do it and it took less than 20 mins. Basically you just tap into the wire under the hood i think. I belive he got the diy off of clubrsx if anyone is interested i could ask him the specifics on what to do.

id imagine as long as you tapped both of them into the wires CORRECTLY then yeah you can make the high beams open both.

Great ideas!! I like the button one personally because I don't like the blank hole in our dash. Then again the high beams is cool as hell!!!

Keep the ideas coming up!

I'm lazy. I have one of those rectangle openers (the wife got the nice one). I got double sided 5# tape and attached it to the back. Then, when you open the little cubby hole feel the back. There is this lip and empty space. It was just big enough for the remote to fit in it and you can't see it at all. So when I need to open the garage door, I just slide open the cubby hole and hit the button. Takes up no usable space and is in a secret ninja spot...
