Modify for JDM hood

Hey has any body put washer on the hinges to their aftermarket/or OEM hood to lift it for air. I heard they do this alot in Japan?

i dont know how that would look on our car. most of the cars that have done it have a lower/ longer hoodline.. our hood is pretty short and pointed down pretty steep... but would do a pretty good job of cooling since we have the upper grill to suck air through.. so could be functional...

That's actually a little cool. Like a cowl induction OEM hood. I'd rep it.. just not too high.. then it might get a little more ricey/cheap-looking than JDM.
